Here is a final list of some of the ideas I came up with using these techniques learned in class:
- A safety app based around navigation, where the users input a destination and the app calculates the safest route based on real-time crime data, well-lit streets and populated areas
- Carbon footprint tracking app, which allows users to track their carbon footprint and suggests personalised ways to reduce it. It also connects users with community, local and global projects
- Anti-fake news verification tool or app that uses AI and crowd-sourcing to verify the authenticity of news articles. Users can submit articles for verification, and the app provides a credibility score
- Remote learning/working app, an app for those working or learning while travelling, or those who are refugees. Offers online courses and skill development, while also focusing on affordability, accessibility, and real-world applicability.
- Elderly safety app, where families or contacts can stay connected with elderly relatives, friends or neighbours, particularly those that live alone, allowing them to set up scheduled check-ins, the app will alert emergency services if needed
