This week, we had our project pitches in front of Daniel, Paul and Kyle. I created a slide deck and a proposal document to go along with my pitch.

I wanted to incooporate my current state of branding into both the pitch and the proposal, so I used the colour scheme I had chosen so far as backgrounds and text colours. I was able to talk through the project at its current state, explaining the research I had conducted, the purpose behind the product and the potential features it could include.

My pitch went well, I thought. I still have a way to go with my presentation skills, as I still get very nervous when I do them, but that is something that will come with exposure and experience. I got quite used to doing them on placement, but it is much more comfortable to hide behind a screen than to actually stand up in front of someone and speak.

After the pitches, we were given our tutorial groups for the rest of the year. I was placed in Daniel’s group for the major project, and then Paul’s group for our dissertations.

From this point, we each got an initial chat with our lecturer to talk about our project.
